FITC

For the home game with Omagh Town on Saturday 25 October, Linfield will be pleased to welcome to Windsor Park as guests of the club, groups of young people from PaPaA ( Parents and Professionals and Autism - East Antrim branch) and the Markethill FAIR Youth Group .

Also in attendance will be a group of young people from Newtownabbey Methodist Mission ( Rathcoole ) and a group they are hosting from the Wibsey Youth Group in Bradford , West Yorkshire. The English young people ar staying in Newtownabbey until Tuesday 28 October and prior to the Omagh Town game the Bradford and Newtownabbey young people will undertake a tour of the Windsor Park stadium.

We hope they will enjoy their visit to Windsor Park and we look forward to welcoming similar youth groups to Windsor Park in the near future.

FITC

On 17 October Kenny Irons, Phil Charnock and Paul Dalglish attended a Health Eating Day at Springhill Primary School on behalf of Linfield FC. The Club provided the school with 3 signed footballs to assist in fundraising.

The players answered questions from the pupils of P5, P6 and P7, demonstrated ball skills, took part in a photo shoot and signed autographs. All the children were given badges which read "Give Bigotry The Red Card."

Coaching of mini-soccer is ongoing in schools. Under the McDonald's programme, coaching is taking place in Victoria College girls school, Belfast. During November coaching will take place in Hunter Chouse for four weeks.

Places are available on the Junior Team Managers Award and anyone interested should contact Davy Chisholm.

CoE

Arrangements are at an advanced stage for 2004 tournaments. It is planned that an older group will travel to San Quirino and that three younger groups will travel to the OSS and Holland Cups.

Travelling to these touraments will depend on the current sponsorship deal with Pepsi being renewed. We hope to have more news in the next few weeks.

WFC

Linfield WFC continue to train on Friday nights at Midgely Park. 10-14 year olds train between 6.30 and 7.30. 14+ train during the following hour. Anyone interested in joining LWFC should contact Davy Chisholm.

Around 50 young people from the Castle Heritage Association ( Whitehead and Carrickfergus ) visited Windsor Park on the evening of Thursday 16 October.

As well as going on a tour of the Players Lounge, the changing rooms and the Windsor Park playing pitch, the young people and their supervisors also got to watch the Linfield squad train on the Midgely Park pitch in preparation for Saturday's win over Ards at Clandeboye Park, Bangor.

The Castle Heritage Association party have been invited to attend a forthcoming Linfield game at Windsor Park as guests of the club and the group hope to return as soon as they can arrange suitable transport for the young people in their group.

For the home game with Cliftonville on Saturday 11 October, Linfield will be pleased to welcome to Windsor Park as guests of the club,  a group of young people from Whitehouse Primary School in Newtownabbey.

It will be the 3rd year in succession that the Whitehouse school will be guests at Windsor Park for a Linfield game and on this occasion, all the arrangements for the visit have been made by the 1st Newtownabbey Linfield Supporters Club.

We hope they will enjoy their visit to Windsor Park and we look forward to welcoming similar youth groups to Windsor Park in the near future.
